Our Child Care Education programs at the Early Learning Center and the Robert & Virginia Bauer Branch are accredited by the National Association for the Education Young Children.
NAEYC has developed standards which define and recognize quality childcare programs.
To become accredited, a childcare program must go through a process of self-study involving children, parents and teachers.
A variety of criteria relating to providing a developmentally appropriate program must be met, including well-qualified and trained staff, and strict health and safety standards. Also, the program must provide a wealth of opportunities for parent involvement.
We are proud to be one of the very few programs in our area to be accredited by NAEYC.
