Get started on your health & wellness path at the Y
We have a number of FREE programs and tools for adult members! With our certified staff’s guidance, you will feel safe and comfortable so you can begin and continue on the path to achieving your fitness goals.
A FREE orientation is available to new and existing members. During your individual orientation, a Y strength trainer will get you started on a workout program tailored for your individual needs. You will be shown how to properly set equipment for your height and body structure, how to perform the exercises, and how to progress each workout. Common questions such as: “How do you use this machine?” “Am I performing this exercise correctly?” “Something does not feel right, can you help me?” can also be answered.
FREE for members! Whether you are a newcomer to fitness or a seasoned exerciser, FitStart uses ActivTrax, a web-based system, to help you meet your fitness and nutrition goals. ActivTrax creates a new workout for you every time you exercise to reflect your progress, goals, and preferences. Your custom workouts will keep you challenged, interested, and goal-oriented! The nutrition component complements your workout routine and considers your activity level and lifestyle. Set up a free orientation to set up your custom profile and first workout.
MOVE IT AND LOSE IT
This 8-week program is a great opportunity to get refocused and motivated! Weekly check-ins and coaching will keep you on track to meet your fitness goals. Help bring your team to victory by attending weekly coaching and lecture sessions, completing your provided workouts, tracking your nutrition, and, of course, losing weight!
