Amanda McCaskill

Director of Camp and Mountainside School Age Child Care

Amanda joined the Westfield Area Y in 2011 as a part-time aftercare/before care counselor.  Over the years, she has moved up the ladder in the SACC department to be the Jefferson Off-Site Aftercare Coordinator, Before Care Coordinator, and, most recently, the Kindergarten Wrap-Around Head Teacher.  She has worked in our summer camps for just as long, serving as a director since 2016.

Amanda was promoted to her current position in 2021.  She couldn’t be more excited to take on this new responsibility serving the Y programs she loves!  One of the things Amanda holds dear is watching children grow in our programs.  She has watched students and campers grow into counselors and is thrilled when children from previous years stop by to say hello and reminisce. In her free time, Amanda enjoys time with family and friends, spoiling her Boston Terrier, and doing anything with her partner and son, especially cooking and trying new recipes.

Amanda holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and Health from Kean University.
